Inside Front Door Color

Hi friends,

Hope you all had an amazing weekend. I was chuffed to find out that our fireplace reveal made it onto Kate and Amanda's Best of the Blogosphere series on Centsational Girl . So exciting to have this little blog get a shout out. For those who are just stopping by - Welcome!

Today, I want to talk about my plans for adding color to our front hallway. As you may recall, we finally got the trim painted white here

but then quickly realized that the space needed some color in order to warm it up. Now that we've finally completed the fireplace, this is the next space to get my attention. The easiest place to start is with the color of the door on the inside (the outside which is painted BM Wrought Iron Grey will stay as is)

Here are some of the options I am considering:

A pale blue like this

As a side note - I am starting to realize how popular this color is for doors. It's Wythe Blue by Benjamin Moore and Dajana from All Kinds of Lovely just posted a comment about this color earlier today on my Front Door Awards Post. Too funny.

I also like this color as fun modern option but I am not sure our 1920's  home can carry it off:

I know we just lightened up the hallway but I am also drawn to warm colors like this:

Finally, I love the mellow coastal vibe of this griege door

So many lovely choices - Now I just need to get down to business and get some painting done!

I leave you today with this amusing item:

Thanks for stopping by!
