Hope you all had an amazing weekend. We had our second annual cookie decorating extravaganza and it was both fun and delicious. The kids, experienced decorators now, took their jobs seriously creating masterpieces and taste testing as they went.
Here are some pics of the set-up for the party:
The cute table cloth was from Target. It did the job nicely.
Each of the kids got a baking sheet with wax paper on which to decorate their cookies. This helped contain the sprinkles (6 kids produce a lot of sprinkle splatter).
Sprinkles of all colors were provided - the season calls for glitter people!
We also had festive candy to jazz up the yummy cookies that one of my friends made (mmmm shortbread)
And here are some of the final products:
Now I have to find a way to NOT eat all of the yummy cookies in one sitting. Going into cookie monster mode would be unfortunate for my waistline and devastating for my kids. Sorry kids....mommy ate all of your cookies will not go over well.
Have you made holiday cookies this year? How do you resist their yumminess? Do tell :)
I leave you today with this amusing example of taking it to the next level ;)
Thanks for stopping by!
