Bedroom thoughts

Hi friends,

Hope you all had a magnificent weekend. We had two open houses and some viewings so things were busy around here. Our real estate agent said our neighbours really liked our place....so I guess the open house was successful. Neighbours curiosity satisfied. check.

I am allowing myself to think about what I might do with the new house - but just a little bit as nothing is certain at this point. We find out tomorrow night if there are any offers. I think it will be fine either way. I don't mind if we don't because it will take some pressure off of us. Either way it will be good to have it over.

In terms of thinking about the new place, I've really been thinking about the master bedroom. Currently, our bedroom looks like this:

I have wanted to paint out the yellow forever and go with a bolder dark blue but it hasn't happened. If we get it, the new bedroom would look like this:

I am just not sure the slopped walls can handle a dark color so I am thinking about a simple white. This would give me a lot of flexibility to bring in some colorful bedding like this:
source: Crate and Barrel

Or some serene bedding like this:
source: Target

What would you do? Any suggestions?

I leave you today with this amusing item:

Thanks for stopping by!

  1. Painting the sloped wall and ceiling in the same white paint may make the ceiling appear higher. I personally would prefer a lighter shade of paint like creamy white in a bedroom but that's just me. Fingers crossed that you will get offers tomorrow.

    1. Thanks. i agree that a nice creamy white like BM cloud white would make the room look bigger. The picture makes it look a bit smaller than it is. But it could still use some help

  2. I can't remember who, but another blogger did an awesome wallpaper on her sloped wall (just that one wall - like an accent wall) and it was awesome. Either that or you could consider doing the opposite wall in something dark and striking and the rest white.
