Today, I am writing about my need to replace every single light fixture in the new house. Everywhere I look I see lights that need to go. You see - I believe that lighting is like jewelry. It can make or break a room.
Unfortunately, a lot of the lights that came with this house are cheapo builder basic lights. Like this one in our upstairs hallway:
I'd like to replace it with something like this:
And for my son's room (ignore the mess)
How about this in place of that foo foo chandelier (I was totally eyeing this light from Urban Outfitters for his room but it appears they don't ship it to Canada - boo!)
Or replacing this yellowed terribleness:
with this fun space age light:

So there you have it - my light obsession unveiled. The first step is admitting one has a problem ;)
As you can see, I am looking for gorgeous yet inexpensive options. There are a lot of lights out there that I absolutely adore but I am trying to keep costs to no more that $300 per light for those on the second floor. If money was no object - oh the lights I'd buy :)
