Closet Peak + Bunny Grey Guest Room

Hi friends,

Hope you've all enjoyed the weekend and done some relaxing. The weather was just absolutely perfect and I couldn't have asked for better. We devoted some time to my tennis obsession, barbecued and hung out in our new back yard. After having a postage stamp of a yard in the old place, I am still marveling at having our own little oasis in the city.

We are definitely noticing that the new location is busier though. Summer in our area brings tourists and the added foot traffic and cars parked in front of our drive take some patience and getting used to. It's not as bad as it sounds but I do wish we had more seclusion. I guess its a trade-off for the convenience of being able to walk to the local amenities.

And now it is Sunday night, the most dreaded night of the week. When the weekend is done and I am left wondering, where did it go? It seems like Friday night was just here and the festivities were kicking off.

To cheer things up a bit, I am sharing more progress on our upstairs. Every little step forward means that I can look a the things I love rather than the things I want to change.

My amazing husband painted our guest room Benjamin Moore Bunny Grey. As a reminder, here is what it looked like before:

The picture makes it look better than it was. Trust me. The room looked very dark most of the time. And as mentioned previously, I am not a tan walls kind of girl. Here is what it looks like now (sans furniture):

You may recognize the paint color from our previous dining room. I just loved that paint color and had to find a place for it in our new home.

The plan is to move the bed, bedding, lamps, and night tables from our master bedroom into the spare room. Then I get new ones! Brilliant I know :)

I also wanted to share a quick peak at some organization I am very proud of. Our upstairs closet has been transformed from mud brown and stinky to painted and organized. Several boxes of baking soda and some cute bins later, and I am a happy girl.

What do you think?

I leave you today with this amusing item:

Thanks for stopping by!
