Have you ever read the story 'Alexander and the Terrible, Horrible, No Good, Very Bad Day' by Judith Viorst? It pretty much sums up my day today. I won't bore you with details but suffice to say some days are like that - even in Australia.
I was first introduced to the Alexander stories at Queen's University when I was studying to be a teacher. For those of you who know me in real life, you'll know that isn't the path I took but I've always had a soft spot for kids books. We've loved reading Judith's Viorst's Alexander series to our boys and I hope that they've enjoyed them as much as I have. The stories help to put things in perspective.
On a more positive note, I now have all three of my new Turkish Kilim pillows. They are gorgeous and I love them. Here's a peak at how they look together
I've also re-arranged the pictures on the mantel. This arrangement is better I think. Cleaner. It just needs a few anchoring items to finish it off.
I leave you today with this very bad, terrible holiday decorating idea:
Thanks for stopping by!
