Kids Christmas Cookie Decorating Extravaganza

Hi friends,

It has been quite the weekend around here. There has been cookies, glitter, and much fun. Yes - today was our annual cookie decorating soiree.

I supplied the venue and the cookie decorations. Our dear friends brought the cookies and the nibbles for the adults. There were 6 kids and accompanying parents and it was just the right number.

The kids had a creative free for all with no limits decoration wise. We had gum drops, coconut, white cotton candy for snow / beards, and licorice laces. The kids took full advantage and delivered some brilliant cookie creations.

I highly recommend this as fun holiday tradition. We've been doing it for a few years now and the kids just love it. Each year the cookie creations are more epic than the last.

Below are some pics from the event.

We set up the dining room table for the festivities. The parents gathered around the kitchen island and caught up while the kids decorated away.

The paper table cloth was from Target and it worked perfectly. When the kids were done, we carefully removed it from the table, crumbs included, and put it in the recycle bin.

Below are the gorgeous (and super yummy) cookies my friend baked for the event.

And here is another shot of the fun toppings we put out for the kids. I found these inexpensive dishes at our local grocery store last year and they are the perfect size for candy and sprinkles.

Please allow me to brag for a brief moment. My son decorated this pretty snowflake cookie.  I was so proud of his cookie creations!

He did this cute reindeer design too.

Now...how do I hide these cookies so I don't eat them all in one sitting? Must resist.....

I leave you today with this amusing item:
Thanks for stopping by!
